Refunds
The Program for Resource Efficient Communities at the University of Florida has created this privacy and refund statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and schedule.
General Statement of Principles
As described below, any information we gather at this web site is strictly for our use. We will not sell or give away any lists or other data that we may retain and we do not purchase such information from other sources. The information is not shared with any other entity, public or private with the following exception: If you are a licensed building professional in the state of Florida and have taken a class with us for credit towards relicensure, we are required by state statute to maintain your personal information for a period of 3-6 years depending upon the licensing board's recordkeeping requirement. The state may request a licensee's class information to verify compliance by law with continuing education requirements.
Statistical Data
Our servers (as most) track IP addresses and referring pages to help with site maintenance and improvements. This data is viewed only as anonymous statistics to show the busiest times of the day or week, pages with errors and how effective our advertising has been. This information is not used for any other purpose.
Personal Information Collected
We collect personally identifiable information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by our course participants. The information you provide is used to fulfill your specific class request. This information is only used to fulfill your specific class request, unless you give us permission to use it to add you to our mailing list on upcoming classes. If you are a licensed building professional in the state of Florida and have taken a class with us for credit towards relicensure, we are required by state statute to securely maintain your personal information for a period of 3-6 years depending upon the licensing board's recordkeeping requirement.
We do not store any type of credit card information.
If you pay for our courses by credit card, you will be directed to a secure gateway and credit card processor (https://) using encryption for secure transactions. We do not store any type of credit card information.

Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by other websites. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policy of any website linked from our website.
Disclosure for Legal Purposes
We may disclose Personal Information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief such action is necessary: (a) to conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on us or our affiliates; (b) to protect and defend our rights or property or those of our users; (c) to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.
Information Correction or Removal

Refund Policy
Instructor led and webinar class registration can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance. In case an emergency makes this impossible, please contact us as soon as you can. If your company needs time to cut a check for your registration fee, please contact us and we can make arrangements to register you ahead of time. Payment for webinars must be made no later than 48 hours in advance unless you have contacted us with special considerations. If we do not receive payment or do not hear from you in that time frame, your space will be given to someone else. Refunds will not be given for on-demand classes once you access the class unless there are mitigating circumstances.
